About Me

Cooper Gorospe is a musician, composer, and teacher based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Cooper began playing music over 15 years ago when he started taking piano lessons as a child. Throughout his schooling years, Cooper would pick up the tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, guitar, bass, drums and percussion, as well as conducting. After graduating from high school, Cooper would attend Pikes Peak State College where he would study guitar with Roger Nutter and drums with Bruce Anderson. He graduated in the Fall of 2021 with an Associates of Arts. In 2022, he would begin schooling at UCCS where he studied guitar with Colin McAllister and composition with Dr. Jon Forshee. He graduated in the Spring of 2025 with a Bachelors of Arts in Music.

Cooper is a current member of the Sagitta Guitar Quartet at UCCS. He has accompanied the Vista Ridge Rhythm Show Choir on both guitar and drums, the Out Loud Colorado Springs Men’s Chorus on guitar, and Black Forest Community Church on guitar. At UCCS, Cooper has played with the Creative Music Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, at the Electrowave Electronic Music Festival, and with the UCCS Meowchestra during the 2024 production of Cats. Cooper has arranged and composed solo pieces as well as ensemble music, including works for the UCCS Creative Music Ensemble and for the UCCS Symphony 21 Orchestra.

Cooper currently teaches guitar lessons with Equinox Music Group and is an instructor at Pikes Peak State College where he teaches guitar and bass lessons.

Cooper has three cats: Mona, Luna, and Lola. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching movies, reading, spending time outdoors, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
